At 60 years old, I’m on a journey to retire in another country. I want to share my experience, starting from when the idea of relocating abroad first took root in my mind 18 years ago, right up to now. Having become disabled over two decades ago, I’ve faced real challenges making ends meet — struggles with rent, utilities, groceries, healthcare, and other essentials that many readers will recognize. I don’t aspire to a life of luxury. I’m looking for some relief from stress and a more comfortable, stable existence. On this blog, I document my ongoing progress as I gather information and weigh my options for relocation. I’m not certain I’ll complete the journey, but the stories I share along the way should resonate with anyone living on a fixed income who’s working to improve their circumstances.
